May 4th adventures

First night of tour..

So it’s the first night of tour, if you can really consider this a tour. Is 5 days considered a tour? What really is the cut off or standards now a days? Pretty sure saving October played 2 weekends in a row and considered it a “tour.” We’re miles and miles away from home with no money and not returning home so yeah.. I’m a call this tour. We were fed around 5 and now I’m fucking starving. Starving and broke. Such a good combination. Such is the life were pursuing I guess.

We just finished playing. The kids actually seemed to be really into it which is somewhat surprising. Who would’ve guessed dr Acula fans could get into us? This place was pretty rad though to be honest. Promoter is super nice which is refreshing when you deal with some that are just bitches and dicks. Its really great when you feel like the promoter cares about the show and how well it does. I mean this isn’t the strongest music scene we have at the moment. This is just my observation but it seems like the majority aren’t into the music for the music really. They’re just going to shows and putting on they’re mosh booty shorts and backwards fitteds cause it’s the thing to do right now. I like to think there are still kids that care though. Music really isn’t about having the most brutal breakdowns or who can fit the most notes into a 16 bar solo. You can put so much emotion into it and have it actually mean something. It’s a part of you. I know it’s a part of me.

So we drove 5 hours to get here and now we’ve got a 3 hour drive to connecticut tonight. You know if oil companies weren’t completely evil and the price of gas was still what it used to be this wouldn’t be that bad. Fuck the government who let the corporations control our country so much. Hopefully I get this blog posted before the Internet gets censored. Now I’ve got some monotonous breakdowns to listen to.
